Serbian List: New leaders in the north dismissed all politically appointed directors
The newly elected mayors of four municipalities in northern Kosovo, who took office on Friday, today dismissed all politically appointed directors in the municipal branches.
This is what the Serbian List said in a statement, Kossev writes.
"The mayors of the municipalities of Mitrovica and North, Milan Radojevic, Zvecan, Dragisa Milovoq, Zubin Potok, Milosh Perovic and Leposaviq Zoran Todic have taken office in these municipalities and have made a decision to dismiss all politically appointed directors in the municipal branches," the announcement states.
They added that the appointment of new municipal branch directors is expected in the coming days.
Today, the new Serbian mayors in the north were visited by the head of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Aivo Orav.
"The mayors have drawn attention to the extremely poor condition they have found in municipal administrations - dilapidated offices, a total lack of computer equipment, official documentation and basic official furniture, which greatly complicates the normal functioning of local administration and the provision of services to citizens," the Serbian List statement said.
