Serie A team sacks coach after just 11 games
Atalanta have officially announced the parting of ways with coach Ivan Juric, after just 11 matches of this Serie A season, and following a 3-0 home defeat by newly promoted Sassuolo.
Juric, who was appointed as Gian Piero Gasperini's successor in the summer, leaves Atalanta in 13th place in the Serie A table, with just two wins in 11 matches.
"La Dea" has lost its last two matches in Serie A, which came after six consecutive draws in the league.
This means they only took six points from their last eight matches in the Italian top flight.
"Football Italia" expert Alfredo Pedulla had said that Juric had been assigned the matches against Marseille in the Champions League and the one against Sassuolo in Serie A as the decisive matches for his future at Atalanta.

Despite the win over Marseille, the coach was once again in the spotlight after his clash with Ademola Lookman on the bench. And, with the 3-0 defeat to Sassuolo, things got worse for him.
Coincidentally, Juric was also fired from Roma on this day, a year ago: November 2024.
It is believed that former Monza and Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino will be Juric's successor at Atalanta.
Atalanta, however, thanked Juric for his service so far.
"Atalanta announces that Ivan Juric has been relieved of his duties as first team coach, along with the closest members of his staff, Matteo Paro, Miguel Veloso, Pablo Barbero, Stjepan Ostojic and Michele Orecchio," the statement released by Atalanta reads.
"Atalanta thanks Ivan Juric and his staff for their dedication and wishes them success in the future," the club's statement concluded.
