Swiss Embassy: Lectures on Special do not promote certain narratives
The Embassy of Switzerland has clarified its support for the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) outreach program, following reports that an informational lecture about the Kosovo Specialist Chambers was held at the “Xhevdet Doda” school in Pristina.
In its explanation, the embassy states that since 2018, Switzerland has supported the outreach activities of the DSKs, which were established through an international agreement ratified by the Assembly of Kosovo, reflecting the legislative process and democratic mandate of this institution.
According to the embassy, the Kosovo Specialist Chambers are an independent judicial body and through the Information Office they engage with a wide range of stakeholders to share publicly available information on their mandate and work, to listen to citizens' views and to answer questions, without promoting certain narratives.
It further states that the Information Program is implemented in close cooperation with civil society organizations, which help facilitate dialogue and encourage an informed public debate on issues of public interest.
The Swiss Embassy has emphasized that its support aims at transparency, informing citizens and strengthening the rule of law, and does not imply influence on the content of activities or promotion of certain positions.
