Sydney in mourning: Australian PM talks about tightening gun laws
Following the deadly mass shooting in Sydney, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said on Monday he would discuss "tougher gun laws" in the national cabinet this afternoon.
At least 16 people were killed, including 15 victims and one of the attackers, and 42 remained hospitalized after the shooting incident at Bondi Beach on Sunday, Anadolu writes.
Earlier, Australian police said the two people suspected of the shooting were father and son and that investigators were not looking for any other suspects.
The father was killed at the scene, while the son remains in critical but stable condition in hospital.
The Australian government "is prepared to take whatever action is necessary. This includes the need for tougher gun laws," Albanese told a news conference.Indeksonline/
