Trial in The Hague: Thaçi's defense requests that Bislim Zyrapi be added to the witness list

The defense of former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi has requested that another witness be added to the list.

According to the defense, his testimony is extremely important.

Zyrapi's testimony has been requested to be admitted in writing.

"Adding him to the list of defense witnesses and admitting his five statements is, therefore, in the interests of justice and necessary to ensure the fairness of the trial and the right of Mr. Thaçi to examine, or have examined, the witnesses against him and to ensure the appearance and hearing of witnesses on his behalf, under the same conditions as the witnesses against him," the request states.

We recall that it has been more than 5 years since the Thaçi group and others have been tried in The Hague for war crimes, for which no decision has yet been made.
