The President of Hungary meets with the KFOR commander in Pristina, the topic of discussion is regional security and stability.
The President of Hungary, HE Tamás Sulyok, paid an official visit today to the headquarters of the NATO mission, KFOR, at Camp Film City in Pristina, where he was received by the Commander of KFOR, Major General Özkan Ulutaş.
President Sulyok was accompanied by the Hungarian Deputy Minister of Defense, HE Tamás Vargas, as well as by the Hungarian Ambassador to Kosovo, HE László István Dux, writes IndeksOnline.
During the meeting, Major General Ulutaş briefed the Hungarian President on the security situation in Kosovo and the region, as well as on KFOR’s ongoing commitments. He stressed the mission’s unwavering commitment to contributing to a safe and secure environment for all citizens in Kosovo, while appreciating Hungary’s long-standing and ongoing contributions to KFOR and regional stability.
"KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, guaranteeing security and freedom of movement for all citizens, impartially and at all times. The mission operates in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and EULEX, each in its own role as responsible for security matters," the announcement says./IndeksOnline/
