Supreme Court rejects VV's appeals for Malisheva and Han i Elezit

The Supreme Court today rejected two appeals filed by the political entity Vetevendosje Movement against ECAP decisions, regarding allegations of irregularities during voting in the local elections held on October 12.

In the first case, the judicial panel dismissed as inadmissible the appeal filed by the political entity LVV against the decision of the Electoral Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP), dated October 17, 2025, finding that the same issue had already been decided by this court on October 23, 2025, as well as due to the fact that the appeal was filed after the legally established deadline.

In the second case, the judicial panel rejected as unfounded the other appeal against the ECAP decision of October 29, 2025.

The Supreme Court assessed that the ECAP decision was taken in accordance with the law, finding that the complaint filed by VV with the ECAP was out of time, as it was not submitted within the legal deadline of 48 hours.

In both cases, the Supreme Court has emphasized the importance of respecting legal deadlines and procedures established by law, when exercising legal remedies in electoral processes, as a guarantee for the fair and equal implementation of electoral rights for all participants.
