Ymeri: Petrovic's case, proof that Serbia's interests are opposite to those of Kosovo Serbs

Kosovo Assembly Member from PSD Visar Ymeri has reacted to the pressure exerted on Kosovo MP Slobodan Petrovic by the Serbian Intelligence Agency.

Through a post, he said that this is proving that Serbia's interests in Kosovo are contrary to the interests of Kosovo Serbs.

"The confession of MP Slobodan Petrovic about the pressure exerted on him by the Serbian Intelligence Agency is worrying. We must react to this. Not only because Serbia is continuing with the threat, blackmail and violence against the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. But also because of the political purpose of this type of pressure. And this is not the only case: in the same direction there are also cases of numerous threats to members of the KSF who have been forced to leave their jobs.

These cases prove that Serbia has been the main problem and the cause of the non-integration of Serbs in the political, economic and social life of Kosovo. Because in this way, and only in this way, Serbia can instrumentalize them for its own political purposes. At this point it is clearly seen that Serbia's interests in Kosovo are opposite, even exclusive, to the interests of the Serbs of Kosovo. The latter both have, and have begun to see, their civic interest in integration and living together.

"The Republic of Kosovo is a state of all its citizens without distinction. And it must take responsibility for the protection and well-being of all. Every pressure, every threat, every act of violence, against any citizen of the Republic of Kosovo is disturbing, and must be unacceptable," Ymeri wrote.Indeksonline/
