The case of two drowned children in Kolovica still shrouded in mystery
Two and a half years have passed since two children lost their lives in an open pit in Pristina's Kolovica neighborhood.
Since that time, even though there are six criminal charges, including against municipal officials and a construction company, no court session has been held. Even, their father had submitted a document to speed up the case, but this did not happen.
Meanwhile, the People's Advocate says that such a case would have to be resolved within a time limit of one and a half years.
Florenta and Florenti, on June 23, two years ago, left the house for the last time. They were never returned to their parents after they drowned in a pit that had been left open.

Not coming back. Since that time, not a day passes that their father, Muhamet Mramori, does not go to the place where they lost their lives, trying to remove the longing for them.
Two and a half years ago, a brother and sister, one aged 11 and the other 13, tragically lost their lives in a previously dug pit in the Kolovica neighborhood of Pristina. While the pain is still fresh for Muhamet, he prays to God that what happened to him will not happen to anyone in the world.
He said that even though state institutions had promised him support, such a thing had never happened.
He even says that six criminal charges have been filed, however, the case of his children has remained where it was.
Muhameti confessed that the negligence of state institutions adds to the pain even more.
Mramori fears that the fact that state officials are involved in this case, this case has been dragging on for some time now.
The Mramori family's lawyer, Skender Musa, says that this case is being dragged out by the country's institutions. In fact, it has already been transferred to the General Department. According to him, such a thing should not happen.
Muhamet Mramori had also submitted a letter to meet with officials of the State Prosecutor's Office, but this did not happen.
The spokesperson for the State Prosecution, Ekrem Lutfiu, did not respond to questions about this case.
The Ombudsman, Hilmi Jashari, told KosovaPress that this case should be resolved within a year and a half at most, otherwise it is in violation of the country's Constitution.
Until the country's institutions begin to take this case seriously, Muhamet Mramori's only prayer is for justice to be done for the two tragically lost children.
