Former Seat and Cupra boss has a new job, creates his own brandy
Less than a year after leaving his position as CEO of Seat and Cupra, Wayne Griffiths is back in the public eye, but this time not related to cars. Instead of managing two major brands, he decided to turn his attention to a completely different product, a premium gin called Gin Wayne, created in a limited series of just 500 bottles.

Griffiths says he has wanted to make his own gin for years, but only now has he found the right moment.
Free from obligations within the VW Group, he entered the world of craft distilleries with the same precision he had invested in car development for years.
The product is produced at the Austrian Pfau distillery in Klagenfurt, exclusively from natural ingredients without artificial flavors, which Griffiths describes as “the essence of natural alcohol and botanicals.”

The recipe relies on local origins. Each small batch uses pears and apples from Carinthia, along with a blend of juniper, spices, flowers, herbs and cucumber. After the infusion comes an additional distillation to further refine the flavor profile. The emphasis on regional ingredients and the careful process seem to reflect habits acquired in the automotive industry, where quality is always a matter of detail.
A bottle of Gin Wayne costs 182 euros, which places it in a premium category where there are still enough customers willing to pay for the exclusivity and history behind the product.Indeksonline/
