Judge's murder sparks debate in Albanian Parliament, Interior Minister's resignation demanded
Today, the Albanian Parliament began its proceedings with a minute of silence in honor of the judge killed in the courtroom.
During their speech, opposition MPs there demanded accountability for the lack of security measures in the courts.
The Chairman of the DP Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, demanded the resignation of the Minister of Interior, Albana Koçiu.
In response to Gazment Bardhi's request for the resignation of the Minister of Interior, Justice Minister Besfort Lamallari spoke, stating that it is difficult to engage in politics over murders.
Lamallari accused the opposition of using hate speech against judges and prosecutors.
"You should be ashamed," he said.
