The prosecution detains 10 people arrested in Pristina for drugs and weapons

The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina - Department for Serious Crimes, in cooperation with the Kosovo Police, detained ten people today during an action in the village of Rimanisht, Municipality of Pristina.

Among those detained are also Albanian citizens. They are suspected of the following criminal offenses:

“Unauthorized production and processing of narcotics, psychotropic substances, analogues or narcotic tools, equipment or materials” (Article 268 of the Criminal Code), and

“Unauthorized ownership, control or possession of weapons” (Article 366 of the Criminal Code).

During the raid, a significant amount of psychotropic narcotic substances, firearms, and other material evidence that will be used in the investigative procedure were seized.

The state prosecutor, in coordination with the police, immediately went to the scene. The suspects have been detained and a request for pre-trial detention will be made within the legal deadline.

The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina has stated that it remains committed to investigating and prosecuting criminal offenses.
