The prosecution provides details about the suicide of young girls in Prizren

The suicide of two young girls in Prizren and the attempted suicide of another girl last month shocked the residents of this area.

The girls who committed suicide and the other who was caught attempting it were friends and attended the same school.

Since then, investigative bodies have been conducting intensive investigations to uncover the circumstances that led to the girls' suicide.

Indeksonline has contacted the Basic Prosecution Office in Prizren, where it was stated that intensive preliminary investigative actions are being carried out, in order to clarify the unfortunate cases where two young girls, DK and AD, have indicatively found their death by jumping from the upper floors of a building in Prizren.

"To discover the causes and motives for their throwing from these buildings, a considerable number of people have been heard as witnesses, a considerable amount of material evidence has been collected and is being analyzed," it was said in a response to Indeksonline, from the Information Office.

It has also been announced that based on the investigations to date and preliminary information, the third person who attempted suicide is not considered a case related to the two previous cases and that the person in question has been under observation by a psychologist several times before.

"Also related to the third person, also a young woman who is alleged to have attempted a similar act, preliminary investigative actions are being taken by the Kosovo Police in Prizren and based on preliminary information there are no indications that this case is related to the first two cases," the response further stated./Indeksonline/
