Prosecutor claims Thaçi's defense told him that Hill refuses to testify for them, witness denies it
Christopher Hill has denied having told Hashim Thaçi's defense that he refuses to give evidence for the Prosecution.
Initially, prosecutor James Pace said that on October 13, 2025, Thaçi's defense had informed the Prosecution that Hill did not want to give an interview to the SPO, reports "Oath for Justice".
The prosecutor said that an email message was sent to the defense by the Prosecution asking the witness if he was willing to give them an interview.
Pace demanded an answer as to why the witness took this position. However, the witness denied being asked about such a thing by the defense.
"I don't remember, I don't know. I don't think so. Thaçi's defense called me and asked if I would give evidence and discuss if I would be willing to provide information that I knew about this trial," Hill said.
The witness was asked about how, as it is understood, the defense did not tell him anything that the Prosecution was interested in interviewing Hill.
"I don't remember being asked such a question because I would certainly be prepared to answer any questions you might have during the interview," Hill said.
In addition, he said he did not recall Ibrahim Rugova speaking to him about threats, attacks and kidnappings allegedly committed by KLA members. However, he said he remembered other people expressing concerns about Rugova's safety.
On the other hand, the witness said that he does not remember the name of Cen Desku nor that of Jakup Kastrati.
