The road leading "towards the clouds", the world's longest escalator, opens
China has inaugurated one of the most impressive projects of modern tourism, the "Stairway to the Clouds", a connected system of escalators that climb to the top of Mount Lingshan, in Jiangxi province.
This mountain, with a height of almost 1.500 meters, was previously accessible only to climbers with good physical preparation, but now every visitor can enjoy the spectacular views effortlessly.
The infrastructure consists of escalators with a total length of 1.236 meters, climbing more than 88 floors from the base of the mountain to the summit. The project aims to facilitate access for the elderly and people with limited mobility, making the peaks of Lingshan accessible to all.
The first example of this "vertical revolution" in tourism was seen on Tianyu Mountain, where a similar escalator system went viral in 2023, attracting thousands of visitors.Indeksonline/
