"There will be revenge"/ Trump reacts after the killing of Americans in Syria
United States President Donald Trump vowed revenge on Saturday after two American service members and an American civilian were killed in an attack in Syria that the US blamed on the Islamic State group.
This attack, which is the first carried out against American troops in Syria since the overthrow of former President Bashar al-Assad two years ago, was called the work of ISIS by President Trump.
US Central Command announced in a statement on the X platform that out of respect for the families and in accordance with Department of Defense policies, the identities of the victims will not be released for 24 hours.
The announcement from this command also stated that the person responsible for the attack had been killed.
And the Pentagon's chief spokesman, Sean Parnell, said that the civilian killed in this attack was an American translator.
