Thief arrested in Gjakova, police searching for three others

The Basic Prosecution Office in Gjakova, in cooperation with the police, has detained MR from Prishtina, under suspicion that with three other people, currently on the run, they committed the criminal offense of aggravated theft and while fleeing, they hit a police vehicle with their vehicle, in which case a police officer was slightly injured.

The incident occurred in the early hours of this morning in Gjakova, Kosovo Police announced.

The suspects got out of the vehicle and fled towards "Freedom Park" in Gjakova, where they fired a gun once in the air as they fled.

The police have requested the assistance of other units to capture the defendants, but have not succeeded despite maximum efforts.

The prosecutor has proposed that the court impose a one-month pre-trial detention measure on the defendant MR.
