This is the oldest wooden house in Europe
Haus Bethlehem is considered the oldest wooden house in Europe.
It was built in 1287, four years before the Rütli Oath.
Today, Haus Bethlehem serves as a museum. However, until not so long ago, it was still a residential building.

The brick base contains a 16th-century hall with wall paintings. Apart from the old shuttered windows and 18th-century wooden arches, the room has been preserved almost in its original condition. Haus Bethlehem, located in the municipality of Schwyz in Switzerland.
