This year, Croatia hosts military exercises with Kosovo and Albania
Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, said that this year there will be a joint exercise between the three armies, of Kosovo, Albania and Croatia.
The exercise, according to him, will be carried out soon this year in Croatia.
"Yesterday we had another meeting with Minister Pirro Vengo and Minister Anusic, a meeting that is taking place continuously within the framework of the cooperation we have with the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Albania in the field of defense. So it is known that last year we signed a joint declaration for cooperation in the field of defense, a declaration of the three countries, so a trilateral cooperation between the three countries for cooperation in the field of defense. Yesterday was a meeting as a continuation of this cooperation, where normally many things were discussed and many areas where we will continue cooperation were discussed", the minister told RTK, during his stay at the Munich Security Conference.
According to Macedonci, it is worth noting that the meeting that the defense chiefs had a few days ago in Shkodra was highly appreciated, where they also agreed on a joint exercise between the three armies, which will be held soon this year in Croatia.
"Among other things, we also discussed opportunities for co-investment in co-production in the field of defense, so together the three countries are cooperating to establish the defense industry as a common asset for the three countries. The idea is to look at opportunities for cooperation for co-production in many areas, but mainly of military equipment, ammunition, but also of vehicles and other weapons systems," he said.
The Minister of Defense announced that in this forum, which is one of the most important forums in the world on security and defense issues, where Kosovo is being presented by Prime Minister Kurti and the rest of the Government delegation, in addition to meetings with counterparts, meetings were also held with various manufacturing companies that are leaders in terms of military products.
"Today we held a meeting with the executive director of Mercedes, that is, the part of the military tactical vehicles that Mercedes produces, with whom last year we concluded a three-year contract for the supply of tactical vehicles from the Mercedes company, military tactical vehicles that are among the most popular in the inventory of the world's armies," said the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci.
