Tobacco smuggling through the mountain in Debelldeh is prevented
Police units prevented a smuggling case today.
IndeksOnline reports that a suspect was driving his car on the mountain roads of the village of Debelldeh, while he had avoided police calls to stop for a check.
Sources claim that the suspect was carrying approximately 360 kilograms of raw tobacco, which he emptied from the car on one of the roads in the forest area, then fled.


The goods are suspected to have been transported via illegal routes from the territory of North Macedonia, while the person driving the vehicle is known to the police.
Upon seizing the goods, the police and relevant units have estimated the quantity of tobacco, which is worth approximately 20 thousand euros.
The case is still under investigation.
According to market estimates, the total value of the smuggled goods amounts to around 20 thousand euros.
