UN report: At least 226 Ukrainian civilians killed by Russia in November
Powerful Russian long-range missiles and drone strikes on densely populated areas accounted for more than half of the 226 civilians killed in Ukraine last month, according to a UN report released today.
The UN also revealed that another 952 civilians were injured in the attacks.
"Nighttime attacks often involved hundreds of drones and missiles," the report added.
Danielle Bell, head of the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, said that “Russia’s renewed campaign against… energy infrastructure is severely disrupting essential services on which civilians rely.”
She added: “Millions of families now face extended periods without electricity, heating and water, difficulties that deepen as the days shorten and temperatures drop.”
