US government shutdown: Rubio will no longer participate in Gaza talks
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was scheduled to attend a meeting in Paris tomorrow to discuss the transition after the war in Gaza.
However, diplomatic sources have said that Rubio will no longer attend due to the US government shutdown, SkyNews reports.
But Washington is still expected to be represented at the talks, although it is not clear who will be there in Rubio's absence.
A European diplomatic source said it was vital that the US participate because nothing could move forward without the White House's input.
