Units B2 and A3 are expected to return to operation during the evening.

The two units of the Kosovo Energy Corporation, B2 and A3, are expected to return to operation during the evening, said the acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli.

He made this known after a meeting he held with KEK management last night, while three units (B1, A4 and A5) of the Kosovo Energy Corporation are already in operation, while technical teams are engaged in three shifts, 24 hours a day, to restore units B2 and A3 to operation as soon as possible.

"We expect KEK to operate with 5 units during this cold period when demand is high. Although this is challenging, TC "Kosova A" has operated with all three units simultaneously for 22 days since December 19 until today, for which we are grateful to each worker and manager, who are the pillars of our electric power system. For comparison, for the past 25 years KEK has operated with 5 units for only 55 days in total. I expect maximum commitment and responsibility from the management and every employee of KEK to bring all units into operation and to keep them in operation during these cold months," she wrote.

On Monday, he published a video showing KEK workers at work and called for energy conservation.
