Volvo produces a new, cheaper car

The Volvo EX90 is receiving comprehensive updates for its second model year.

A base model with a single engine and rear-wheel drive is added to the lineup, bringing the EX90's base price below $80,000.

This update is in addition to the EX90's new 800-volt electrical architecture, faster charging, software updates and power increases for the top-of-the-line Twin Motor Performance model, which was previously introduced.

The range now starts with the EX90 Single Motor priced at $78,090, which produces 329 horsepower.

The EX90 Twin Motor, with a starting price of $81,390, has dual electric motors, all-wheel drive and 449 horsepower.

The EX90 Twin Motor Performance starts at $86,390 and now has 670 horsepower, a big increase from the previous model's 510 horsepower output.

Volvo has also changed the EX90's battery packs for 2026.
