Voting centers open in South Mitrovica

At 07:00 in the morning, all polling stations in South Mitrovica opened, where the second round of the mayoral elections will be held today. The race is between candidates Faton Peci from the Vetëvendosje Movement and Arian Tahiri from the Democratic Party of Kosovo.

A total of 33 voting centers have been opened in this municipality, one of which is a conditional voting center. Over 64 thousand citizens have the right to vote.

In the early hours of the morning, the process is taking place calmly and without any incidents. At the largest voting center, the "Migjeni" primary school, 12 polling stations have been opened, where about 12 thousand citizens have the right to vote.

According to field observations, polling stations are equipped with all election materials, while the process is being monitored by security cameras, a practice established since the last national elections.
