WhatsApp coming soon with a new, long-awaited feature

WhatsApp will soon allow users to search for new contacts by username. This will add another option for saving phone numbers.

It will also be possible to encrypt contact requests with a code.

WhatsApp will then search its database for a match, even if the person is not in the user's contact list.

For matching accounts, the username and profile photo are displayed so users can start a conversation right away—without adding the contact or knowing their phone number.

The backup feature may soon be available to all users, not just those on the beta version.Indeksonline/
