Konjufca: When it comes to the KLA, there are no political parties
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca, has said that when it comes to the KLA, there are no political parties.
Regarding Tuesday's march that will be held in defense of former KLA leaders, he said that this march is fair.
"In addition, his motto is very apt. It is not politics, but justice, it is necessary for us, for Kosovo, but for all those who are facing this injustice in the Specialized Chambers. It seems that the participation of the citizens of Kosovo will be great. We must show that we are unique as a population, as citizens, when we face accusations against the KLA and when it comes to the KLA, there are no political parties," he said in an interview for RTK.
Konjufca announced that he will be in The Hague. "The third time he will go back to The Hague is the closing process. These are the closing statements of the defense teams of Mr. Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Mr. Selimi and Mr. Veseli. We as a state think that this was a scandalous indictment regarding the leaders of the General Staff of the Kosovo Liberation Army. We have a clear position that the KLA is at the base of the freedom and independence of our state. It is the most sublime value that the people of Kosovo have managed to create," said Konjufca.
Adding that the KLA has emerged from the popular fold. "It is not created from afar. It is not created by us, by political decrees. It is the popular awakening itself to protect our country from today's Serbian genocide. This is the Kosovo Liberation Army and who says that the purpose of the KLA was to cleanse Serbs or to eliminate other political figures, or to target national minorities or all those who disagree with the KLA. This is a very dangerous mistake, which has a very bad purpose, and this purpose is to cast a dark cloud over the statehood and independence of the Republic of Kosovo. Therefore, we will not allow this. We will raise our voice against these indictments and I am firmly convinced that because of the purity of the war that took place, which was a defensive war, not a costly war, not a war to destroy other peoples, but to raise our people towards freedom and independence. Precisely because of this, we firmly believe, in "the purity of our war and I strongly believe that in April these indictments, the Court will reject them, reject them as untenable. The leaders of the KLA will return to our midst and to their families, which they have been missing for so long. And Kosovo will win through this. I think that when this happens, then the biggest loser will be Serbia," he said.
