A decision is made that protects children from pyrotechnic devices.

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Endrit Shala, has issued an ordinance for the Coordinating Bodies for market surveillance that prohibits the sale of pyrotechnic devices to persons under the age of 18.

Shala said that with this ordinance, the market inspectorate is obliged to check the economic operators, in this case to verify if they are licensed and meet the criteria for trade and supply of pyrotechnic products.

"Today I have ordered the Coordination Body for Market Surveillance, chaired by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, to coordinate activities with the bodies responsible for market surveillance to control economic operators who deal with the trade and sale of pyrotechnics. With this order, I have obliged the Market Inspectorate and the competent inspectors for public safety to control economic operators, in this case to verify whether they are licensed and meet the criteria for trade and supply of pyrotechnic products," said Minister Shala. Shala emphasized that he has ordered that the sale or trade of these pyrotechnic products be prohibited for all non-competent persons and persons under the age of 8.

"We are working every day to protect our consumers, to stay close to them and to control the quality of products on the market and the market in general, preventing and preventing any kind of disaster that may happen to our citizens. We are also monitoring the market when it comes to pyrotechnic products that have caused quite a bit of damage over the years. Therefore, I call on economic operators to respect this order, as non-respect for this order means fines. We are not interested in fines, but to cooperate in market control and especially in quality control", said Minister Shala.
