AGK strongly condemns Minister Shala's attack on journalist Indeksonline

The Kosovo Journalists Association strongly condemns the attack on the journalist IndeksOnline, Ensar Ramadani, by the acting Minister of Trade and Industry, Endrit Shala.

As he writes IndeksOnline, Minister Shala hit journalist Ramadani in the face, while the latter was on duty. He was closely monitoring the situation of another Nisma official, Luan Maloku, at QKUK.

At the scene, Shala asked for the journalist's phone and after refusing this request, Shala physically attacked him by hitting him in the face.

Regarding the case in question, the AGK has also received a statement from the Kosovo Police, according to which the journalist is currently being questioned at the "South" police station, and that police units are handling the case.

AGK condemns this attack and any other physical and verbal attacks carried out by politicians and institution holders and calls on the police, the prosecution and the entire justice system to treat the cases of journalists with priority.

At the same time, AGK encourages fellow journalists to continue to carry out their work responsibly and not to stop in the face of any attack or threat.Indeksonline/
