Agreement, Israeli army: We are preparing for the withdrawal from the Gaza Strip

The Israeli military says that ahead of the implementation of the peace agreement with Hamas in Gaza, it is preparing for the next move by developing a combat protocol to move to an adapted front.

"As part of this process, preparations and a combat protocol are underway to move to the adapted deployment lines soon," it said.

As a reminder, if the first phase of the agreement is approved by the Israeli Government later today, a ceasefire will come into effect immediately and Israeli troops will withdraw to an agreed line.
