Dhaka for foreign voter verification: The process is complicated, the criticisms are malicious

The Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Valdete Daka, visited the call center where applicants to register as voters outside Kosovo are being verified.

On this occasion, she said that verification is a complicated process and that they are making it impossible for everyone to be able to vote.

Daka explained that 8 applicants have been verified, and even called criticism regarding this process malicious.

"I see the criticisms as malicious because it is a complicated process. We are doing our best. 8 citizens have been verified, everyone is being notified."

"We are spending huge amounts of money to enable citizens to vote. We, as the CEC, set the campaign deadline, while the Police and the National Institute for Public Health are responsible for how the measures are respected."

"We will call them until they are notified because the entire focus is on calls regarding the diaspora. It can be misused but these boys and girls work until 12:00 at night."

In order to implement the Decision and Instruction of the CEC for the verification of applications for registration, the CEC has operationalized the call center, where 25 telephone lines are in operation.
