Customs prevents smuggling of toners

At the border crossing point in Vërmica, a detailed inspection of a vehicle was carried out, after being selected for routine verification by customs officials.

After the driver declared that he did not possess any goods to declare, a physical search of the vehicle was conducted, during which 40 undeclared toner cartridges were found in the trunk, for which no accompanying documentation was presented, including an invoice or other proof of origin.

According to Kosovo Customs, the approximate value of the identified goods is around 2,300 euros.

"In accordance with the legal provisions in force, the case was treated as a customs offense, while the goods were temporarily detained until the completion of administrative procedures by the competent units."

"Kosovo Customs reminds all citizens and economic operators that any goods entering the territory of the Republic of Kosovo must be declared in accordance with the customs legislation in force and that failure to declare constitutes a legal violation," the announcement states.
