Donika Kadaj-Bujupi: Pension Reform with the Government 100%

AAK candidate for MP, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi, has pledged to reform pensions.

In a note on Facebook, he emphasized that with the new Haradinaj Government, the problems of pensioners will be solved.

"After October 6, with the Haradinaj Government, a special commission will be established to draft what will be called the Kosovo Pension Code, through which pension schemes will be clearly defined, the system will be unified, injustices against deserving beneficiaries will be eliminated and at the same time funds will be saved from the confusing schemes that are currently applied," she wrote.

Baca Baki from the village of Kotlinë in the municipality of Kaçanik is the father of a martyr of Kosovo. As if the pain for his son who did the greatest service to Kosovo was not enough, his economic situation is also aggravated by bureaucratic decisions, poorly thought out by the officials who had made them in the Mustafa Government.

For several years now, Baca Baki, as an old-age pensioner, has been unable to enjoy his right to a contributory pension, due to an administrative instruction that prohibits receiving double pensions. Now he only receives the pension intended for the families of martyrs. This is unfair, because he is denied the right to a pension for which he has contributed during his long years of work. So, he is not getting back the money that the state had taken from him to save for his old age.

The AAK-PSD coalition has in its governing program the solution to this problem. After October 6, with the Haradinaj Government, a special commission will be established to draft what will be called the Kosovo Pension Code, through which pension schemes will be clearly defined, the system will be unified, injustices against deserving beneficiaries will be eliminated and at the same time funds will be saved from the confusing schemes that are currently applied.
