The director threatens journalist Kajtaz Gecaj, AGK reacts

The Kosovo Journalists Association has reacted to the threat made by the Director of Culture in the Municipality of Skenderaj, Ramiz Shala, against journalist Kajtaz Gecaj.

The reaction states that the AGK has received with concern the information about the threat against journalist Gecaj and has invited Shala to distance himself from the threat.

"The AGK invites Director Shala to distance himself from this intolerable approach and, if he has any claims against the articles written by Gecaj, to follow legal channels and in no case to use threatening language towards the journalist. The AGK encourages journalists not to shy away from such threats, while in any case to report cases of obstruction in their professional work to the police," the Journalists' Association said in its response.
