Missing for four months, Albanian woman's brother begs in tears to let her return

The drama in the Albanian family Valisi in Greece still continues.

Marko, the brother of 19-year-old Artemis Vasili, who has been missing since October 16, 2020, has recounted the dramatic situation his family has been going through since that day, while appealing to the people suspected of holding her hostage to release her, putting an end to the drama their family is going through.

"I want to appeal to the people who are holding my sister against her will, if they are holding her or whoever did something to her, to allow her to return home so that this suffering that our family is going through can end. We miss her so much. I believe that if Artemis would listen to me, she would contact us," he says through tears.

Among other things, Artemis' brother says:

We are four children and Artemis is the shyest of all of us. That morning before my sister disappeared, I will never forget it. I had seen her at home, her face was fresh, happy and she wished me “good job”, because I was getting ready to go to work.

The day she disappeared she told my mother she was going to a big toy store to ask if they needed anyone for work. When the hours passed and I got home from work, Artemis still hadn't come home, her parents were worried and we looked for her.

That same night we went to the Koropi Police Station to report her missing and they told us it would take 48 hours for the report to be accepted. That night I went with my friends to look for my sister at that bus station where she was also caught on camera. I asked her friends but they didn't know anything.

We believe she boarded a vehicle, not a bus.

My mother cries all the time, does nothing and is isolated in her room. The whole family has a soft spot for Artemis and because she is sensitive and does not deserve everything that has happened to her. We pray every day that she is alive and the testimonies we receive tell us if she is alive. A woman claims that she saw my sister in a store and that two strangers were with her.

"We hope it's really Artemis and not a girl who looks like her."
