For Christmas, blood is prayed, two families reconcile

On Christmas Day, the families of Zef Mataj from Dobilare Parish and Ibrahim Krasniq from Juniku have reconciled.

In the Church of Saint Michael, namely at the 'Dom Gjergj Berisha' Youth Center in Doblibër, reconciliation took place between the family of Zef Mataj and the family of Ibrahim Krasniqi from Junik, after the tragic loss of Patrik Mataj, who died accidentally on 26.07.2017 in Qerim (Gjakovë).

"We are brothers in good times and bad. This inter-religious harmony has always been witnessed by our Albanian people, since the time of our national hero, Gjergj Kastriot-Skënderbeg, and until our days, as the respected families, the Mataj family and the Krasniqi family, witnessed today on the day of reconciliation," said the parish priest, Don Alberti.

"I thank all the contributors who have worked and helped the parish priest in this reconciliation, but allow me to single out some individuals such as MP Anton Quni, Lekë Lekaj and especially priests Don Roberti and Don Pashku," he emphasized.

The reconciliation of the two above-mentioned families was made in the presence of the Mayor of Gjakovë, Ardian Gjini, with his colleagues, the Minister of Infrastructure, Pal Lekaj, the Deputy of the Assembly of Kosovo, Anton Quni, the Commander of the Police Station in Gjakovë, Kristë Gjokaj , the Mayor of Junik, Agron Kuqi, the Imam of Junik, Imer Krasniqi, Sylë Tahirsyla, respected professor and many other believers from the Parish of Doblibare.
