Laparoscopes donated by the US are put into operation

The Abdominal Surgery Clinic of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo has performed the first elective surgeries after several months, to mark the return of the regular operating program, which was suspended due to the worsening situation with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Doctors intervened on patients using modern laparoscopy equipment, made available to the Abdominal Surgery Department by the US Embassy in Pristina, through the United States European Command, within the framework of the Humanitarian Assistance Program, which donated 2 laparoscopes with accompanying equipment to UCCK at the end of last year.

Laparoscopes are state-of-the-art technology and Kosovo is the only country in the Balkans that has this equipment.

This is considered one of the next successes in this clinic and in general in SHSKUK, since the time when Valbon Krasniqi was appointed to this position.
