Hoxhaj remembers the Gërvalla brothers: Jusuf, Bardhoshi and Kadri Zeka, the inspirers of the KLA and our freedom
PDK's candidate for prime minister, Enver Hoxhaj, has remembered the 39th anniversary of the murder of brothers Gervalla and Kadri Zeka.
Through a status on Facebook, Hoxhaj said that on the sacrifice of the three heroes, the popular movement for freedom was strengthened and then the Liberation Army was created.
"Thus, Yusufi, Bardhoshi and Kadriu became the three ideologues and inspirers of the KLA and our freedom," he wrote.
Hoxhaj also recalled a line from Jusuf Gërvalla, saying that the works of martyrs, political prisoners and KLA fighters serve us as the only stars that illuminate our path towards the recovery of national dignity.

39 years ago, three activists of the national cause, Jusuf and Bardhosh Gërvalla and Kadri Zeka, were secretly murdered in Germany. Yugoslavia thought that by killing the leaders of the illegal movement, it would extinguish the resistance of the Albanian people. But, in reality, where the three activists fell, thousands of others were born.
On the sacrifice of the three heroes, the popular movement for freedom was strengthened and then the Liberation Army was created. Thus, Jusufi, Bardhoshi and Kadriu became the three ideologues and inspirers of the KLA and our freedom.
“I do not see the stars – a castle in the dark” says a verse by the poet Jusuf Gërvalla. Today, in the darkness of the agendas for rewriting the history of our just liberation war, when we see no other stars, the deeds of martyrs, political prisoners and KLA fighters serve us as the only stars that illuminate our path towards the restoration of national dignity.
PDK is a party founded by activists who worked in the diaspora, by political prisoners, by KLA fighters. So, by the friends of Jusuf, Bardhoshi and Kadriu. Therefore, naturally, as PDK structures, today we commemorate with honor the work of the three heroes of Kosovo – Jusuf, Bardhoshi and Kadriu.
