Former ISIS member indicted

The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo has filed an indictment today at the Special Department of the Basic Court in Pristina against the defendant FD for the criminal offense of organizing and participating in a terrorist group, pursuant to Article 143, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.

The Special Prosecution Office announces that the defendant FD, on September 22, 2014, with the intention of participating in the activities of the terrorist group, ISIS, in Syria, acting intentionally and with knowledge of her actions, left Pristina towards the border point of Hani i Elezit, from where she left Kosovo and from Skopje Airport she traveled towards Istanbul. She then went to Syria where she joined her husband, who was operating within the terrorist group, ISIS.

With these actions, the defendant FD committed the criminal offense of "Organization and participation in a terrorist group", according to Article 143, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.
