A bag with money and documents was stolen, three people were arrested in Peja

Please be informed that on 22.12.2019 at around 00:10, at the Peja police station, the victim of the case, a citizen of the Republic of Albania, stated that on 21.12.2019 at around 21:45 she had stopped on 'Adem Jashari' street and had entered the Fresh market, she had left her car parked near the market and had her personal bag in the car. After leaving the market, she entered the car, and noticed that the bag she had there was missing.

The victim had the following cash and documents in his bag: 2500 francs in various banknotes and 500 euros, car documents, driver's license, and passport of the Republic of Albania.

The Investigation Unit, Peja Police Station, immediately continued intensively with investigative actions, in which case today, on 22.12.2019 at around 04:00 in a local, the suspect of the initiated case of theft, the Kosovo Albanian citizen TB born in 2001, was identified and arrested, along with two persons suspected of 'Providing assistance after the commission of a criminal offense'. Those arrested for providing assistance are the Kosovo Albanian citizens Sh.J. born in 1993 and EE (1997), who, after being interviewed by investigators, were released by decision of the state prosecutor.

The suspect was detained for 48 hours by decision of the State Prosecutor.

The case with a criminal report is sent to the Basic Prosecution Office in Peja.

The Kosovo Police appeals to citizens and asks them to take extra care of their property.
