KESCO promotes energy saving on the eve of the cold season

On the eve of the cold season, when electricity consumption usually increases significantly, KESCO has launched an awareness campaign on saving electricity, with the aim of informing and raising awareness among consumers about more efficient and sustainable use of energy.

Through this campaign, KESCO will publish concrete examples of electricity bills, comparing the expenditure and cost between years – before and after the entry into force of the new tariffs approved by the Energy Regulatory Office in May 2025. These comparisons will help consumers understand more clearly the impact of the new tariffs on monthly bills and the importance of saving in reducing costs.

In this cold period, one of the main factors of increased consumption remains electric heating, therefore saving becomes more important than ever. Through posts and practical advice from savings experts, KESCO will offer simple instructions for reducing consumption, without affecting the daily comfort of families.

Some of the recommendations include:

· Rational use of electric heating and improvement of insulation of living spaces;

· Use of high energy-efficient household appliances (class A+);

· Disconnecting devices from the network when not in use;

· The use of LED lighting and better lighting management in domestic and official environments.

Through this initiative, KESCO aims to raise public awareness about the importance of saving energy — not only to reduce bills, but also to contribute to maintaining the country's energy sustainability.

In the coming days, KESCO will publish other examples of bills with different consumption, as well as new practical tips for saving during the winter.
