The CEC announces that so far the recount has been fully completed in 6 municipalities.
The Central Election Commission has announced that the ballot counting process is continuing at the Counting and Results Center, for those polling stations for which the CEC has decided to recount.
From the beginning of this process (Tuesday, January 13, 2026, 18:00) and until now (Tuesday, January 20, 2026, 10:00), 688 out of 2,557 polling stations have been recounted, which belong to the municipalities: Deçan (5/51), Gjakova (15/145), Gllogovc (7/73), Gjilan (13/130), Dragash (57/57), Istog (6/62), Kaçanik (45/45), Klina (6/63), Fushë-Kosovo Polje (6/62), Kamenicë (5/50), South Mitrovica (10/102), Leposaviq (25/25), Lipjan (9/85), Novobërdë (2/23), Obiliq (3/33), Rahovec (8/78), Peja (14/139), Podujevo (11/110), Prishtina (26/262), Prizren (235/235), Skenderaj (72/72), Shtime (34/34), Shtërpcë (2/17), Suhareke (9/89) and Ferizaj (63/152)
According to this data, so far the recount has been fully completed in 6 municipalities.
According to the first CEC decision, on January 13, 2026, in 10 municipalities it was planned to recount 100% of the polling stations (Dragash, Kaçanik, Lespoaviq, Prizren, Skenderaj, Shtime, Ferizaj, Vushtrri, Mamusha and Ranillug), while in the other 28 municipalities, only 10% of the polling stations (Deçan, Gjakova, Gllogovc, Gjilan, Istog, Klina, Fushë-Kosovo Polje, Kamenicë, South Mitrovica, Lipjan, Novobërdë, Obiliq, Rahovec, Peja, Podujevo, Prishtina, Shtërpcë, Suhareka, Viti, Zubin-Potok, Zvecan, Malisheva, Junik, Hani i Elezit, Gracanica, Partesh, Kllokot and North Mitrovica). After the second decision of the CEC, on January 19, 2026, other polling stations in these municipalities will also be included in the recount process.
