Kurti pays homage to the work of former Ballet director Ahmet Brahimaj
Today, the ballet troupe said its final farewell to Ahmet Brahimaj, undoubtedly the leading figure of ballet in Kosovo.
Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, paid tribute to the life and work of the former dancer and director of the National Ballet of Kosovo, Ahmet Brahimaj.

"A farewell to the man who contributed to the reconstruction, inspiration and progress of ballet in Kosovo. Brahimaj was one of the first dancers of Kosovo from the first generation, as well as the main figure of the revival of ballet in 2001. He initially kept it alive and then raised ballet to a level that makes us proud all over the world. Condolences to his family, friends, students and dancers for this great loss for Kosovo," Kurti said.

The former Director of the Kosovo National Ballet passed away today and his funeral will take place at 16:00 PM in the Haxhiaj neighborhood of Novosella, Peja.
