This will be the successor to Messi and Ronaldo according to Wenger

The former Arsenal manager has backed Kylian Mbappe to take the lead as the best player in the world, behind Messi and Ronaldo.

Wenger believes that France can have the best footballer in the world, but without leaving out Neymar JR.

"Lionel Messi... we haven't seen a player of that type who can be so creative in every difficult situation," Wenger said.

"These players are coming towards the end, Messi and Ronaldo," the Frenchman added.

"Now we are dealing with the new generation and the new generation could be French. At the moment, the leader could be Mbappe. Of course, Neymar too," Wenger said, among other things.

Kylian Mbappe is being linked with a potential move to Real Madrid. Such a move would put him in a better position, given the difference between La Liga and Ligue 1.
