Meta invests in AI video app
Meta has announced an update to its Meta AI app, which is now available globally.
The new version, which includes Vibes, a mini social network that features AI-generated videos, is now rolling out in European Union countries, including Italy. It's a challenge for OpenAI, which a few weeks ago launched its Sora 2 model only in the United States and Canada, with the same goal of positioning itself as a social network for generative AI-generated videos.
The Meta AI update is currently being distributed in various countries, including Italy, ANSA writes.
As an official statement from the American group explains, “People across Europe will have access to Vibes, a new resource dedicated to creating and sharing short videos generated by artificial intelligence, within the Meta AI app.
You’ll be able to explore a personalized feed featuring AI-generated videos and content from creators and communities, which will gradually adapt to your interests. Multimedia creation is at the heart of the experience.”
