Indictment filed against three people for the criminal offense: "Abuse of position"

The Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo has filed an indictment against BD, LZ and the legal entity "LP" LLC, for the criminal offenses: "Abuse of official position or authority" and "Abuse and fraud in public procurement".

According to the indictment, BD, in his capacity as an official person, the manager of the contract "Renovation of the MAFRD facility in Pristina", at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, during the period 19.08.2024 - 31.12.2024, has approved and certified, in violation of the law, the full realization of the works and payments for the removal of the inventory.

Meanwhile, LZ, as the responsible person of "LP" LLC, is accused of having presented false facts during the execution of the contract, declaring full completion of the works, although the works were only partially completed.

As a result, the budget of the Republic of Kosovo suffered financial damage of 36,000 euros.

The Special Prosecution has proposed to the court that additional sentences be imposed on the defendants: a ban on exercising functions in public administration or service.
