Nike donates 30,000 pairs of shoes to healthcare workers in the US

The well-known sportswear manufacturer, Nike, will donate 30,000 pairs of shoes to healthcare workers on the front lines of the fight against coronavirus in the United States. The shoes are specially designed for these workers.

The "Air Zoom Pulse" shoes, initially launched in November last year, are the first model designed for healthcare workers, the company said in a statement.

The company's designers went to a children's hospital in Oregon to study the work of doctors and nurses. They took into account the challenges of the job, including long hours and the need for foot comfort during long shifts.

Nike partnered with the nonprofit organization Good360, which handles efficient distribution of donations, to more easily distribute shoes to healthcare workers in Chicago, Los Angeles, Memphis, and New York.

It was announced that healthcare workers in New York and Los Angeles will also be provided with 95,000 pairs of soccer socks, which provide gentle compression to the feet.
