Number of people infected with Covid-19 in Kosovo since the beginning of the pandemic

Over 56 Kosovars have been infected with COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic. Most of them have won the battle with the disease, while around 2 others have died.

The National Institute of Public Health has announced that 267 new cases of COVID-19 and one death were confirmed yesterday.
"During the last 24 hours, a total of 1.377 samples taken from SHSKUK and contact tracing of cases in the field have been tested at the Molecular Microbiology Laboratory at IKSHPK and private laboratories using the RT-PCR method, of which 267 positive cases resulted.

"Within 24 hours, 1 case of death with positive SARS CoV-2 has been reported. The death case is from the Ferizaj Municipality, a 74-year-old man," the announcement states.

With these cases, the number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic has reached 56, with a total of 118 deaths.

"The total number of positive cases is 56.118 cases out of 209.960 people suspected of having the SARS-CoV-2 virus and 1.411 deaths.

"Over the last 24 hours, 163 patients have recovered, while the total number of recoveries to date is 49.432 cases, while the number of active cases is 5.275," the IKSHP statement said.
