Osmani: I reacted on Twitter to the death of the 26-year-old, those who are politicizing it don't care about the truth

The Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, through a post on her official Facebook page, has reacted to several media outlets that, according to her, have slandered her by writing that she did not console the family of the 26-year-old from Gjilan who died under still unknown circumstances, jumping from the 5th floor of dormitory number 7 in the dormitories.

Defamation in times of pandemic and tragedy

Yesterday, Kosovo lost a brilliant young man, who with his work and dedication to learning made his family proud, and tomorrow he would make all of Kosovo proud. Even before the circumstances of his death were clarified, certain media outlets, unfortunately, indulged in slander and misinformation, thus adding to the pain of the family and every rational person who today has placed humanity over politicization and sympathy for the family over the misuse of the case for political reasons.

In the wake of this misinformation, certain media outlets are now publishing headlines such as: "Vjosa Osmani the only one who does not console the Musliu family". Of course, this is a pure lie, since I reacted last night, 23 hours ago, on my official Twitter profile, and today I forwarded the condolence telegram to the Municipality of Gjilan, so that they can then forward it to the family. But those who want politicization and misuse even in cases of such a grave tragedy for the family and the entire country do not care about the truth. More important to them are a few clicks earned on slander and fabrications during a pandemic, than the truth.
