Zagreb Summit concludes, Thaçi shows firm stance on EU

The President of the Republic of Kosovo, through a post published on his official Facebook page, has once again emphasized through his online address at the Zagreb Summit that the EU should make a decision on visa liberalization.

In my online address at the Zagreb Summit between the EU and the Western Balkans, I emphasized the urgent need for the EU to take a decision on visa liberalization for Kosovo.

20 years ago, at the Zagreb Summit, the European perspective was offered to Kosovo and the Balkans. It is painful that today we hear the same commitment, but without a decision on visa liberalization. Even without the status of candidate for EU membership, despite the fact that we have met all the criteria.

The EU and its member states have the power to reverse this negative trend. I called on them to show leadership and will to bring Kosovo closer to the EU.
